The Lady Raiders rallied for 7 runs in the bottom of the 7th to steal a victory from visiting Adams Central by a score of 13-12. In a game that was close throughout, the Jets put 5 on the board in the top of the 7th to take a commanding 6 run lead at 12-6 before the Raiders stormed back. The 7th inning for SHS featured a leadoff single from KG Schneider, a Khloe Goble single, a single from Sarah Shepler that drove in Schneider, a walk to Callie Bevans that loaded the bases followed by a 2 RBI single from Olivia Hinesley. Aleyna Sharritts then drove in a run with a single of her own. After a Gabbi Patrick line out, Reese Sprunger gapped a triple that scored 2 and knotted the game at 12. That's when Addi Toffolo cracked a 2-1 pitch for a single that plated Sprunger with the winning run. In all, the Raiders pounded out 16 hits on the night. Hinesley led the way with a 3 for 5 night. She scored twice and drove in 3. Patrick continued her extra base hit tear to open this season with 2 doubles, scoring once and driving in 2. Khloe Goble was a third Raider with 2 hits and also scored a run. Bevans was actually 1 for 1 on the evening but also drew 3 walks and scored 3 runs Hinesley pick up the win in relief of starting pitcher Shepler for her first win of the season. The Raiders host Pendleton Heights tonight at home. Game time is 5:30pm.
