Shenandoah High School

The Raider Softball squad dropped a game last night, losing 10-4 to New Castle at home. The Trojans scored 4 in the first and never looked back. The Raider offense was provided by sophomore shortstop Reese Sprunger. Reese followed a Gabrielle Patrick double with a 2 run home run over the right-center field fence for her first of the season. Later, she knocked in 2 runs with a double. Sprunger was the only Raider to have 2 hits on the night. The Raiders were their own worst enemy last night. Pitching gave NC 4 walks and a hit batter. The defense (uncharacteristically) made 8 errors, and were struck out 9 time by Trojan pitching. SHS will be back hoe on Monday to take on Winchester.
