Baseball (Boys V) Scores

The Raider baseball squad swept a doubleheader on Saturday over the Indy Kings by scores of 5-4 and 6-2. The Raiders used a 5 run third inning in game 1 and held on for the one run win. Drew Fredenburg walked after 2 were out and came home on an Aiden Coffey double. Jayden Campbell plated Coffey with a single. After a walk to Jarrett Helman, Drake Masters doubled and picked up 2 RBIs. Masters then scored when Chase Osenbaugh single. Drew Fredenburg started for SHS on the mound. The senior went 2 innings and gave up 1 hit while striking out 4. Chase Osenbaugh picked up the win in relief. Osenbaugh gave up 3 earned runs over 5 innings and struck out 3. In game 2, the Raiders rode the hot bat of Arrin Murray to get the win. Murray went 3 for 4, scored once and drove home 2 runs. Drew Fredenburg and Aiden Coffey also drove home runs for the Raiders. SHS built a 6-0 lead over 6 innings before the Kings struck for 2 in the 7th. Senior Maddux Davis pitch 3 scoreless innings to earn the win. Davis went 3 innings of shutout baseball and struck out 3. Micah Cole and Drake Masters finished up on the mound.
