Shenandoah High School

The Lady Raiders finished out a game from April 14th, downing Monroe Central 4-0. The Raiders had led 1-0 when the game was stopped in the bottom of the 3rd. After Ava Taylor was retired for the first out, Olivia Hinesley walked. Hinesley took 2nd on a wild pitch. A batter later, Gabrielle Patrick reached on an error with Hinesley advancing to 3rd. Reese Sprunger then cleared the bases with a double. The Raiders added an insurance run in the 6th when Kayden Schneider, who had doubled, scored on a fielder's choice off of a bunt from Ava Taylor. Sprunger had a 3 for 3 night for SHS with that double. The win tonight went to Hinesley, the junior Earlham College commit pitched the 7 inning shutout. She gave up 2 hits, walked 1 and struck out 4.
