The JV Raiders used a 3 run 6th to forge a comeback win over New Castle last night 9-8. Trailing 8-6 heading to the bottom of the 6th, the Raiders used 3 singles from Nolan Painter, Rider Rice, and Drayton Choate; 2 walks and 2 New Castle errors to account for the scoring. Quinton Musick pitched 4 innings of one run relief (not earned) to nail down the win for SHS. The freshman walked 2 and struck out 4. Musick also stole 2 bases, scored twice and was 1-5 at the plate. Kai Peavler was 1-2 with 2 RBI and scored once. Nolan Painter was 1-1 with 3 walks and 2 runs scored. Syrus Lee was 1-3 with a double, RBI, and 2 runs scored. The Raiders host Lapel tomorrow at 5:30.
