The Raiders got a small measure of revenge over Northeastern with a 20-14 JV Football win on Monday night. Owen McDole got the scoring started with a 2 yard run in the first quarter. SHS extended their lead when Bostyn Watson found the end zone from 6 yards out and then added the 2 point conversion giving the Raiders a 14-0 lead. Northeastern quickly answered and the Raiders took a 14-6 lead into the half. After a scoreless 3rd quarter, Watson answered with a 19 yard run to give SHS a 20-6 lead with 3:01 left. After the Knights cut the lead to 20-14 Watson and McDole were able to pick up enough yardage to kill the clock and give SHS their 1st win of the season. The Raider defense kept the Knights offense at bay most of the night. Carson Kokena had an interception and Paxson Masters and Peyten Hill both recovered Knight fumbles. Hill and Watson also had several big hits from their linebacker positions. The Raiders (1-1) travel to Lapel next Monday.
